Dr. Blake Johnston developed his passion for dentistry when he was in high school. His desire to become a dentist continued to grow during college and dental school. There isn’t a day that goes by that he is not excited to go to work. Excellent dental work can change more than a smile, it can change a life. This is a reward that is unmatched for the patient and the doctor.
Dr. Blake has taken many steps to ensure that he can continue to provide top of the line dental work. After graduating dental school, Dr. Blake participated in a one year residency in the Advanced Education of General Dentistry program. As a part of this program, he was able to learn new and innovative techniques and treatment options. Dr. Blake is also involved in many organizations such as the Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Blake was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. He was a graduate of Monterey High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Texas Tech University. In 2012, Dr. Blake received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his residency in 2013. Soon after, Blake returned home to Lubbock and joined the practice in August 2013.
Dr. Blake and his wife, Kassidy, have two daughters, McLane and Mara Michael and a son, Sam. They are members at First United Methodist Church and are avid supporters of Young Life. In Dr. Blake’s spare time, he prefers to be somewhere in the mountains with a fly fishing rod in hand. He continues to be an active supporter of Texas Tech University and attends as many athletic events as he can.
